Some virus-protection programs (GateKeeper, SAM, Virex, etc.) may warn you about some of the opera-tions performed by the installer. This is normal. You should always give the installer permission to perform the requested operation. You may find it easier to disable any virus-protection programs before running the installer.
Use the DRIVE button to select the disk where you would like to install Meteor. Click the INSTALL button to begin the installation. The installer will create a folder named “Meteor 4.0.1” to hold all the files installed.
System To Install
The Meteor multimedia system may be installed in a minimum, medium or complete system configuration.
Minimum. The Minimum system includes only the files required for sound play and still picture display.
Medium. The Medium system includes all of the files for sound play and still picture display as well as a sound editor application and a still picture editor.
Complete. The Complete system includes all of the files in the Medium System as well as the “Integrator” application which permits building multi-track presentations.
Optional Features
The following items are optional and may be omitted to save space.
Tutorials. Check this box to install the tutorials for the sound editor and still picture editor.
Example Films. Check this box to install a set of example films created by the staff at Avalon. Be advised, these examples require more than 20 MBytes of disk space.
QuickTime 2.1. Meteor requires version 1.5 or higher of the QuickTime system software. If you do not have QuickTime installed or if you have an older version of QuickTime installed, check this box to install QuickTime version 2.1.

• The Sound Editor in version 4.0.1 now supports Xanadu 400, Xanadu 500 and Andoplay XTC synth-esizer modules.
• Version 4.0.1 is not compatible with Word-Matic 2.1 or older.
